yet another lie. i can't say it's much of a surprise, but it still enrages me.

o told me that he broke up with his last girlfriend, h, just before i went to england 2 years ago (when we first met). i thought that sounded a little fishy, the timing a little too convenient. he said he finally broke it off because she was going to university in china.

fast forward to today. i'm looking through old emails from lots of people and one from owen pops up. this is before i leave for my exchange to england and he's telling me how good it will be, that he has a friend who's on an exchange to beijing and that she's having a good time.

i ask him who that friend was today. it's her.

now. according to what he told me before, he broke up with her 2 years ago because she was going to china, with nothing said about an exchange. apparently, he lied.

apparently, it seems, he was going out with her when we stayed at a hotel in newcastle together. when we kissed in london. when we held hands in camden. when we had ours arms wrapped around each other at westminster abbey. yeah.

maybe even when we were fucking in vancouver.

he's a lovely guy, isn't he?
