i was typing an lj entry. the survey thing that people are doing. just about done, trying to think of a lyric that sums up the year.

and the phone rang.

it was 3:30, so it was kind of weird and worrying. maybe just someone calling my cousin, not thinking of the time difference between here and india. it happens.

my dad picked up but the phone was cut off.

so he went downstairs to try to pick up from there.

and it rang again.

and he talked in a hushed voice.

and my mom went downstairs to find out who it was.

i absently tried thinking of song lyrics.

then she called me down.

and told me.

my grandpa died.
